9th Generation Corolla Aftermarket Grills
Here is a short little info session for anyone looking to upgrade their factory grill to an “aftermarket” replacement grill from e-bay. A few rules to remember when looking:
- If it says it fits 03 and 05 in the same sentence, they are lying. The grills changed shape and mounting points in 05 and the older grills will have a gap underneath where they should meet the bumper. There are only a few places to purchase the 05 and up grills that will fit without the gap, and most do not sell on .
- Don’t be fooled by “mesh inserts”. If you HAVE to have mesh in your grill, find one that is a one piece grill with the plastic mesh molded into the surround. If it doesn’t list it as one piece, you get the surround and a flimsy piece of chicken wire that YOU will have to cut to shape and figure out a way to mount on the grill.
- You get what you pay for. THE most important when buying on , remember that rule regardless of what you are buying.
