Artist Collaborations
If collecting the work of one artist is fun, collecting collaborations is twice as good!
The Artists Collaborative Project is a small, private but welcoming, group of popular eBay artists who each create half a piece of art from time to time and then exchange it with another member to be completed. Work is not restricted to ACEOs and ATCs, but can include 4 by 4s (”art squared”), framed and unframed collages of any size, or anything else that appeals to members.

Collaborations are unplanned in the sense that the first artist typically doesn’t know what the second will do, although sometimes ideas are exchanged before the prelimary art is sent to the second artist to work on and list for auction. At other times an artist will simply post photos of “art seeking collaborator” pieces on the group and another artist will be inspired to finish one of them. The result of these collaborations often has a punk, pop, or surreal outsider quality.

If you have a favorite artist, check to see if he or she is listing any collaborations, or just list ACP in any eBay Advanced Search box to see all our auctions. (Select Advanced Search and the Art category or you’ll be overwhelmed with irrelevant auctions.)
Or, ask your favorite artist to join ACP and most likely she or he will be welcomed. It’s fun to collab with other artists as well as to collect these unusual and rare pieces.
