Digital Cameras
When considering a digital camera, give some thought to all the things you might be wanting to photograph. Despite having 3 or more megapixels, many point and shoot cameras have a pretty weak flash when it comes to photographing sporting events. Shots taken from the stands will not be improved by using the most power flash setting on the camera. I have found some famous name digitals with such a weak flash that they wouldn’t even take a decent picture of a high school wrestling match from the edge of the mat. Due to this, I have spent many hours at the computer trying to add exposure and balance color, etc.
The same hold true when photographing school plays or opera from any distance of much more than 12 feet.
