Fake iPod nano 3rd gen
Be extra carefull when buying 3rd Gen Apple iPod nano, there are some fake iPod nano 3rd gen on Ebay. It is hard to spot it just by seeing the picture, it looks very similar. It has very similar box, similar USB connection cable dan similar headphone.
How to spot for the fake iPod nano 3rd gen:
- Doesn’t connect with iTunes. The computer recoqnises it as a mass storage device, transfering the file via drag&drop system.
- There is one small screw at the back chrome plate. The original doesn’t have any screw at the back chrome plate, Check the back plate appearance of the original one on Apple’s website.
- Clickwheel doesn’t work like the original one. On the fake one, you can’t choose menu/song/etc just by scrolling your finger on the clickwheel, you need to press it.
- The menu is different from the original, the fake one has some additional features (FM radio, recorder). Check the menu appearance of the original one on Apple’s website.
- Spot the color and size. This is the variant of the original one:
* 4 GB : only in silver color
* 8 GB : Silver, ocean blue, light green, black, (product) red and pink (new color)
