General Installation Guide - Aftermarket Hoods

Installation Guide (Hood)
*NOTE: Due to strict regulations by the Department of Transportation, some of the products sold by Creative Auto Designs, Inc. are aftermarket products and are intended for off-road or show use only.
WARNING: PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION BY EXPERIENCED AND COMPETENT MECHANIC RECOMMENDED. MAY REQUIRE SPECIAL TOOLS AND/OR SHOP EQUIPMENT.
1) START BY OPENING THE HOOD AND DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY. THEN PROCEED BY REMOVING ALL FACTORY OEM (ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURED) CLIPS AND/OR BRACKETS THAT ATTACH ANY COVERS AND/OR INSULATION TO THE FACTORY HOOD, BE SURE TO REMOVE THE WINDSHIELD WASHERS?? HOSES, AND/OR CLIPS. (NOTE: THE NUMBER OF CLIPS,AND/OR BRACKETS MAY VARY WITH EACH VEHICLE.)
2) REMOVE THE OEM FACTORY HOOD BY REMOVING THE BOLTS/NUTS ATTACHING IT TO THE HINGE. (NOTE: YOU MAY NEED A FRIEND TO HELP HOLD THE HOOD WHILE YOU ARE UNBOLTING THE HOOD.)
3) WITH STEPS 1-2 COMPLETED, REUSE YOUR OEM CLIPS AND/OR BRACKETS TO FIRMLY ATTACH ANY COVERS AND/OR INSULATION TO THE AFTERMARKET HOOD. BE SURE TO ATTACH THE WINDSHIELD WASHERS?? HOSES, AND/OR CLIPS.
4) INSTALL THE AFTERMARKET HOOD BY REVERSING STEP 2 (NOTE: CHECK FOR FITMENT AND ADJUST THE BOLTS/NUTS AND/OR BUMPSTOPS FOR PROPER FITMENT)
***SOME HOODS MAY REQUIRE REMOVAL AND ATTACHMENT OF THE FACTORY LATCH FROM/TO THE HOODS.***
