Kenmore Elite Oasis Washer
I have read some very good things about this washer. All true, it’s a modern marvel. I have owned one for about a year, and no one has mentioned the problem I’m having. If I put a few shirts in the washer at the same time, every so often one of the shirts gets wrapped around the other ones. The plate agitator is responsible, is my guess, there is no center column inside the washer. So, during the rinse, the shirts are all balled up together, then the fun starts. When the spin cycle begins, the huge ball of wet shirts is very heavy, and the washer starts to jump around, and I do mean jump. It will come off the floor half an inch. Fortunately, the vibration stops the machine, and it begins the cycle over. By that time, hearing the commotion in the basement, I un-wad the shirts and everything goes back to normal.
This problem can be worse with sheets, blankets, etc.
My fear is that the machine is destroying itself every time this happens. Yes, I did call Sears. They were very surprised, and could offer no solutions for me. This $800 machine may not last long.
