Lifting or Lowering 4-Wheel Drive Pick-Ups
A little help from USA Assett Liquidators on installing lift block kits. Lifting your truck can be easily done in several ways, but this discussion is with, lifting with 2″ or 3″ Lift Block Kits from Superior Industries. These kits are designed to lift or lower a vehicle with these block kits. Installation is fairly easy. You began by lifting vehicle and installing jack stands or anything similar under frame rail. Carefully remove factory installed u-bolts on each side, while supporting differential. Kit comes with 4 new U-bolts, 2-blocks along with nuts and washers to complete job. After U-Bolts are removed, lower rear end far enough to install the new blocks between suspension springs and rear end housing axle tube mounting plate. Carefully raise the complete rear end back in to it’s normal position, install new U-Bolts and your job is complete. Caution—Always check shock travel. In some cases your original shocks may not have enough travel and you will need to replace the shocks or buy Shock extenders to remedy the problem.
