Motorcycle scams
I just read about the other motorcycle scam guides. It is all true. However here are a few other things that also hint at a scam: The motorcycle is ridiculously low priced. The auction is ususally open to only “pre-appoved buyer”. < This is usually a dead give-away. Also the seller usually has 100% positive feedback but it is very low (1-20 actual feedbacks). The best way to know for sure it is a scam is to ask to come see the bike. I have asked about 2 bikes near my house (California) and both said that the bike is in another country but they can still get it to you with free shipping as long as you “buy it now”. Whenever the bike is being sold to pre-approved buyers only, ask if you can see it even if you live nowhere near it. They will usually come up with a bogus story to explain why you can’t see the bike. I have run into many scams like this and they usually get closed by eBay quickly, thank goodness.
