Motorcycle scams
Beware of a low price on any bike especially harley-davidsons like “V-ROAD” instead of “V-ROD”. They promise you it will be delivered to your front door by FEDEX air freight. Guaranteed. They ask for WESTERN UNION of course and if you are dumb enough to ask why they are selling it you are likely to hear a hard luck story like “oh my brother has cancer and I’m selling the bike for him” These scams are in germany, england , and Italy but can be anywhere. The picture is of a bike but of course there is no bike. Incidentally I inported a bike from Japan many years ago. No bike is getting into this country (US) unless it first hits US CUSTOMS and you have to go to where the bike is and pay customs duties on it. This was before the EPA got involved. Now its much harder to import a bike from overseas. I never had possession of the bike i imported. I had a friend buy it for me in Japan. I trusted him with my money and he was honest. But have nothing to do with too good to be true “deals” from overseas or even in this country. Don’t buy unless you see the bike in person and see the title with a lien release or you may never get the bike registered in your name.
