Premier Designs Jewelry
Premier Designs is a high fashion jewelry company based here in America, Texas to be specific. Their jewelry leads the industry in high standards and has won several awards. I was personally a Premier Designs jeweler for a years and even to this day, I truly believe in what they sell and the high standards which they adhere to.
What is “High Fashion” jewelry?
It is also known as “bridge jewelry” because it bridges the gap between fine jewelry and costume jewelry. Costume jewelry is usually plastics and inexpensive metals thrown together. Often times it will fall apart in cleaners. Or just simply fall apart as it is designed for very short-term usage. Fine jewelry is your pure golds and real diamonds. High Fashion jewelry falls in the middle. Using real gemstones, real 18k gold (often, but not always), real silver. Only it is sometimes plated over other metals. Remember, anything but 24k gold will have a metal alloy mixed into it anyway, so what is the difference?! You can even go to your really expensive local department store and find High Fashion jewelry. High Fashion jewelry uses high quality materials but brings them down to a price you can afford.
The jewelry:
Over the years, the designs, style, and quality of High Fashion jewelry has only increased. Often, High Fashion jewelry companies are on top of the market as far as producing leading fashions and giftware. High Fashion jewelry is often “designer inspired” pieces for those of us that cannot afford the expensive name brand jewelry, at a tiny fraction of the price. For example, the Royalty Choices slide / pendant by Premier Designs is under $40 and comes with 3 interchangable stones. The equivalent in the designer industry can run from $899 to $2999 and you only get one color choice. And without a microscope, who can tell the difference? Another example is the Isabella ring by Premier Designs, a marquis cut Cz. I have an expensive marquis cut diamond wedding ring and I used to put the two on my finger together to show customers that you can’t tell which is real and which isn’t.
Most High Fashion jewelry has either Cubic Zirconias or Austrian crystals. Sometimes even Swarovski crystals. High Fashion jewelry may also use Rhodium. Rhodium is used in fine jewelry to plate over white gold. Why? Because white gold is soft and less brilliant than rhodium. Also, the BEST PART, rhodium is several times the cost of gold per ounce. It is ever more expensive than platinum per ounce! So, really, high fashion jewelry is the way to go. We all like to have tons of options in our jewelry box and we can’t all afford to have 50 fine jewelry pieces to choose from. So go high quality in the High Fashion jewelry industry. You won’t be disappointed. And, you’ll be able to buy several more items for the price of one fine jewelry item.
High Fashion jewelry also uses all the fine gemstones, both precious and semi-precious, that you would find at any fine jewelry store (with the exception of diamonds). Same stones, same quality. Including Coral which you are required by law to legally mine and your Costum jewelry won’t have it but your Fine jewelry and High Fashion jewelry will. Remember, it is illegal to mine coral as it is a living thing. So, it is rare and hard to find and can only be gathered by permit.
