The importance of good work gloves and hand care.

Taking the time to put on a pair of gloves before working, in the yard or at that cold warehouse, can be one of the best shields and can prevent accidents.

Cold weather, working in the dirt, gardening can hurt one’s hands. The proper fit and proper glove for every job is important.

There are rubber coated, textured gloves, in which elastic has been added to the polyester material, for a good fit and comfort.

The elastic cuff in a glove gives security and assurance of a proper fit and safety when handling objects, as this way the glove stays on.

Who wants to keep tugging at work gloves all day?

The textured coating in rubber gloves also helps with the grip.

Lastly the warmth of having the thick poly-cotton material on your hands, plus the rubber texture coating on the tips of fingers and palm of the hand area, keep cold hands, warm and mobile, the blood circulating from the warmth, helps with all types of painful arthritic stiffness of joints.

I give protective work gloves a thumbs up from me. If you happen to neglect your hands, massage them in lukewarm olive oil, you only need a little bit, even room temperature will do.

My emergency treatment for hands, is sticky and takes time but works miracles.

Get some vitamin E capsules, prepare a pair of old clean thick cotton socks, turn them inside out, then when you are about to go to sleep, open the vitamine E capsule, ( I usually use my teeth, yuck! it works on the softer capsules) ( any strength 400 or 1000 units, doesn’t matter) and squeeze as many as you need, on to your hand, you will need to request some help from your partner. Do this until your hands are coated in vitamin E oil, then turn the sock on to your hand right side out. Go to sleep and don’t take off until the morning. Guaranteed new hands by morning. This treatment also works on the back or bottom of your feet. Otherwise wear your gloves!
