The only downside is the noise
Fantastic performance. The vac is lightweight, maneuvers easily and has tremendous suction. Since it is lightweight, it’s very easy to pick up and use on stairs.
The only downside is the noise. Wow - it’s really bad. Much worse than other vacuums I’ve owned. However, the superior suction power is well worth throwing on some ear protection.
Noise aside, I’m a huge fan. This replaces a Hoover Wind Tunnel - self propelled. I had vacuumed the whole house the day before my new Dyson Slim arrived. Though I didn’t think I needed to vacuum again, I was curious to check out the Dyson’s performance. After seeing how much dirt it sucked up out of an area rug, I quickly revacuumed the whole house. I have to say, I was a little grossed out thinking about how much dirt my Hoover had left behind for all these years.
