Why NOT to Pay w/ Western Union Instant Money Transfers

The safest ways to purchase on eBay are by using either PayPal, or United States Postal Service Money Orders.

NEVER pay using a Western Union Instant Money Transfer, or any Western Union, or MoneyGram Instant Money Transfer. Those forms of payment offer YOU the buyer, NO RECOURSE, if the seller does not send you the item, or if the item sent has been misrepresented, and is not what you thought you were buying.

Most all SCAMS on eBay direct the buyer to pay using a Western Union Instant Money Transfer……..so that should be a BIG RED FLAG……..unless you PERSONALLY know your seller………RUN!!!!!!!

Paying via PayPal, and LEARNING and FOLLOWING the RULES, protects both the BUYER and SELLER.

Paying with a United States Postal Service Money Order (obtainable ONLY at a US Post Office), offers SOME LIMITED protection for the buyer, by making it MAIL FRAUD, if the seller does not send the item bought, or if the item sent is not what was purchased. It also protects the SELLER, as it can be CASHED at any US Post Office, and thus there would be no possibility that a STOP PAYMENT could be issued, after the item has been sent, since YOU will know immediately if it is good, when you go to cash it………only THEN, do you ship the item.

Not all times when you are asked to pay with a Western Union Instant Money Transfer are FRAUDULENT, but MOST COULD BE, so again, unless you KNOW YOUR SELLER, don’t pay with a Western Union Instant Money Transfer!!!

I hope this helps people to avoid being taken advantage of, and keep them from losing their money to a Western Union Instant Money Transfer Scam.

Please vote YES if this guide is helpful, so that more eBay’ers will be able to see it. Thank you!
